Russian Dairy Exports in 2025 Decrease by 5% While Revenue Rises to $599 Million
According to the union's assessment, the industry's export revenue rose to $599 million in 2025 compared to $521 million in 2024. Soyuzmoloko identifies whole milk powder, skim milk powder, whey, cheese, and ice cream as priority export directions.
In 2025, dairy imports to Russia also decreased to 6.6 million tons from 7.1 million tons in 2024. The union forecasts a further reduction to 6.5 million tons in 2026.
According to Soyuzmoloko's estimates, milk production in Russia increased to 34.3 million tons in 2025 (compared to 34 million tons a year earlier). The volume of marketable milk grew to 26.7 million tons from 26.1 million tons in 2024. By 2030, the industry aims to increase production to 38.8 million tons and marketable milk to 32.2 million tons.
For 2026, Soyuzmoloko expects export volumes to recover to 1.1 million tons, corresponding to an 8% increase over 2025.
