Uruguay's Dairy Export Revenue Surges in April

The month of April witnessed a notable increase in Uruguay's dairy export billing, rising by 10% from the previous year, as confirmed by data from the Uruguay XXI Institute. The value moved from $58 million to an exceptional $64 million.
In terms of export value, dairy products ranked as the third-largest exported commodity for Uruguay last month. Brazil emerged as the major destination, securing $21 million worth of dairy products. Algeria followed with purchases amounting to $15 million, while Russia and Chile each accounted for $3 million in export requests.
The report from Uruguay XXI highlighted significant sales to countries like Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, and Georgia. Whole milk powder stood out as the leading product, constituting 64% of the total export volume, with butter making up 11% of the dairy export category.
