The Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF), known for its 'Amul' brand, achieved an 11% revenue increase, reaching Rs 65,911 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25. This growth was largely propelled by increased volumes across various product categories, as stated by GCMMF's Managing Director, Jayen Mehta.

As the world's largest farmer-owned dairy cooperative, GCMMF boasts a network of 3.6 million farmers from 18,600 villages in Gujarat. Its 18 member unions procure 300 lakh litres of milk daily. Furthermore, the cooperative's turnover rose by 8% in 2023-24 to Rs 59,259 crore, showing consistent growth.

Despite an earlier hike in milk prices due to rising costs, the cooperative managed to stimulate consumer interest by lowering prices for larger pack sizes in January 2025. Mehta also expressed optimism about maintaining the growth trajectory in the current fiscal year, citing strong consumer demand as a primary driver.

GCMMF ranks 8th globally among the top 20 dairy companies in milk processing, according to the International Farm Comparison Network (IFCN). The company continues to expand domestically and internationally, exporting dairy products to over 50 countries. Their recent entry into the US market with fresh milk variants targets the Indian and Asian diaspora.
