Milk Production in Russia Increases to 6.4 Million Tons in Q1

The main contribution to the growth came fr om agricultural organizations. In this segment, milk production increased by 2.7%, or 142 thousand tons, reaching 5.35 million tons.

The largest increase in agricultural organizations was recorded in the Republic of Tatarstan, wh ere production grew by 24 thousand tons. In Udmurtia, the figure increased by 18 thousand tons, and in the Voronezh region by 14 thousand tons.

At the same time, several regions showed a decline. The most noticeable reduction was noted in the Novosibirsk region, where production decreased by 26 thousand tons. A decrease was also recorded in the Altai Territory by 4 thousand tons, and in the Rostov region by 3 thousand tons.

Total milk production in farms of all categories at the end of the first quarter of 2026 remained almost at the level of last year. The figure increased by 0.1%, reaching 7.6 million tons.
