Nestlé México Appoints Germán Carvallo as the New Director of Diversity

Nestlé México's New Leadership Role Focuses on Inclusion
Nestlé México has taken a significant step towards advancing its diversity and inclusion goals by appointing Germán Carvallo as its new Director of Diversity. In this strategic role, Carvallo will lead the company's initiatives to foster an inclusive culture rooted in respect and equality.
Carvallo's Vision for Inclusivity
"The objective is to continue strengthening our commitment to inclusion through our strategy focused on gender balance," Carvallo stated, emphasizing the importance of diversity at all levels within the organization. With his extensive experience and leadership skills acquired as Nestlé Professional's Business Executive Officer, Carvallo brings a wealth of knowledge to this role.
Commitment to Diversity and Gender Balance
Nestlé México currently boasts a workforce where 45.8% of employees are women, and 45.6% hold leadership positions. This focus on gender balance is part of a broader strategy to accelerate the inclusion of LGBTQ+ communities and people with disabilities.
Carvallo expressed his honor to lead these efforts, stating that a diverse and inclusive workforce enriches the organization. The newly appointed director will work closely with leadership teams and collaborators to promote initiatives that uphold these values across the company.
Global and National Acknowledgements
Nestlé's dedication to inclusion is recognized globally. In 2020, the company signed the "Global Business and Disability Network Charter" with the International Labour Organization (ILO) to reinforce its commitment to workplace inclusion. Furthermore, in December 2024, Nestlé was acknowledged as one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality 2025” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, marking its fourth consecutive recognition.
Under Carvallo's leadership, Nestlé México is set to continue its journey towards more inclusive and equitable workplaces.
