Strathroy Dairy Reports Significant Sales Growth Amid Profit Decline

Strathroy Dairy, the oldest family-run dairy on the island, has published its latest accounts revealing a remarkable sales increase of over 30% for the fiscal year ending in July 2025. The company's revenue surged from £134.7 million to more than £176 million.

Despite the rise in sales, Strathroy Dairy experienced a drop in gross profit, which fell from £11.6 million to £9.7 million. Nevertheless, the company's net assets saw a slight increase from £10.7 million to £11.1 million over the same period.

Brothers Ruairi and Cormac Cunningham, who manage the company, expressed satisfaction with the firm's performance and emphasized ongoing cost monitoring. Strathroy Dairy, which supplies a range of dairy products including milk, buttermilk, butter, and cream, sources its produce from a network of Irish farmers and distributes across the entire island of Ireland.

The company operates from Omagh with a distribution center in Dublin, supplying retailers like Lidl, Aldi, and the Musgrave group, as well as caterers and the hospitality sector. The business employs 163 staff members, with a total wages bill of £6.7 million last year.

Strathroy Dairy's history dates back to 1850, with its current name adopted in 1923. The company's extensive distribution network and strategic partnerships have contributed to its robust market presence.
