Russian Ministry of Agriculture Estimates Milk Production in 2025 at 34.3-34.5 Million Tons
Milk production in Russia by the end of 2025 is expected to reach 34.3-34.5 million tons, as reported by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Maxim Borovoy, at the Third Dairy Industry Leaders Forum.
"Overall, we estimate the total milk production by the end of 2025 to be 34.3-34.5 million tons," he noted.
The Ministry of Agriculture reminded that the target for the industry for 2030 is 38.5 million tons. According to the Deputy Minister, there is simultaneously an increase in consumption: in 2025, milk consumption per capita increased by 2 kg.
"The growth in consumption continues. Therefore, we expect this trend to persist," Borovoy emphasized.
For comparison, by the end of 2024, milk production in Russia amounted to 34 million tons, according to previously published data.
