Galaxy Expands Vegan Chocolate Line with Hazelnut Praliné Bar
The Hazelnut Praliné bar features Galaxy’s signature smoothness, enhanced by a creamy hazelnut praline filling. Packaged in eco-friendly compostable film made from wood fibre, it underscores the brand’s commitment to sustainability. Produced in a fully dairy-free and gluten-free environment, the bar is certified by The Vegan Society, offering peace of mind to consumers with dietary restrictions.
Available now at Sainsbury’s and Tesco for £3.00, the Hazelnut Praliné joins Galaxy’s expanding vegan lineup, which debuted in 2019 with Smooth Orange, Caramel & Sea Salt, and Caramelized Hazelnut flavors.
Galaxy’s Rapidly Expanding Vegan Portfolio
Since entering the dairy-free chocolate market, Galaxy has steadily diversified its offerings. In 2020, the brand introduced Vegan Smooth Mint and Crumbled Cookie, and later expanded to include hot chocolate, white chocolate, and a Salted Caramel bar. Galaxy’s first vegan selection box debuted in October 2024.
Michelle Frost, General Manager of Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats, previously highlighted the company’s commitment to offering more plant-based options: “We’re delighted to extend our range to offer more consumers more choice.”
Galaxy isn’t alone in tapping into the booming vegan chocolate market. Industry heavyweights like Ferrero, Lindt, and Cadbury have all launched dairy-free versions of their classics, such as Nutella, Lindor Truffles, and the Plant Bar.
Booming Market for Vegan Chocolate
According to a Global Market Insights report, the global vegan chocolate market, valued at $750 million in 2024, is set to grow at a robust 13% annually over the next decade. This growth is fueled by increasing demand for plant-based indulgences and sustainable production practices.
With the launch of the Hazelnut Praliné bar, Galaxy strengthens its position as a frontrunner in the vegan confectionery market, catering to the rising tide of health-conscious and eco-friendly consumers worldwide.
