Cheese and Curd Exports from Russia Increased by 17% in January-August 2025, Exceeding $110 Million

According to the federal center "Agroexport", in January-August 2025, Russia exported over 21 thousand tons of cheese and curd worth around $110 million, which is 17% more than the same period in 2024. Meanwhile, the volume of shipments remained approximately at the level of the previous year.

The key importers of Russian products remain Kazakhstan and Belarus, consistently providing the main volume of external sales.

Mongolia and Ukraine have exited the list of largest importers.

According to Rosstat, in the first eight months of 2025, Russian enterprises produced 571 thousand tons of cheese, which is 0.3% less than a year earlier. However, by the end of nine months, there is an observed production growth of 0.8% to 645 thousand tons.
