Ross, a student at Harper Adams University, stood out in the West Country Dairy Awards due to his enthusiasm for dairy farming and keen interest in genomics. This year, the awards event was held at the Bath & West Showground in Somerset. Richard Kallaway, chair of the awards, praised the quality and confidence of the finalists, highlighting their passion for the industry and affirming the future of the dairy sector is promising with such individuals on board.

Ross acknowledged the importance of the awards in advancing young people's careers in the dairy industry and expressed gratitude for the support which will contribute to his future in dairying. He noted, "The application process was very straightforward," and recommended the charity to all students.

In the awards ceremony, Ross was joined by other notable finalists, including Megan Hatch, Lauren Frost, Frank Weekes, and Ryan Sainsbury.
