Tom Parker Creamery and First Milk Partner for Regenerative Dairy Supply Chain
Tom Parker Creamery has announced a strategic alliance with First Milk, a British farmer-owned cooperative, to transition its milk supply to a regenerative model. This partnership connects Tom Parker Creamery with First Milk's B Corp certified network to promote soil health, carbon sequestration, and biodiversity throughout its local supply chain.
First Milk farmers supplying the creamery are committed to grazing-based production. They capture structured data to monitor environmental impact, ensuring cows have regular pasture access. This collaboration emphasizes a 'field-to-fridge' approach, ensuring every bottle of milk is supported by nature-positive farming practices.
Rob Yates, CEO of Tom Parker Creamery, highlighted the importance of this local, traceable supply, stating that the partnership allows support for local British farms within a 90-mile radius and is focused on regeneratively farmed milk. He noted the partnership's goal is to balance profit with purpose.
First Milk's regenerative approach requires a detailed field-level understanding of environmental stewardship, including caring for hedgerows, rotational grazing, and increasing plant diversity. This approach supports a fully traceable supply chain.
Fraser Brown, commercial director at First Milk, expressed satisfaction with the partnership, which is built on a shared commitment to responsible dairy. The collaboration offers a platform for showcasing the work of farmer members, aiming for commercial stability through long-term relationships.
The transition also aligns with Tom Parker Creamery's minimal processing and plastic-free packaging ethos, ensuring the natural integrity of whole milk. The core range is packaged in recyclable glass bottles, reflecting the brand's heritage.
