The latest Global Dairy Trade (GDT) event, held on September 2, 2025, marked a notable shift in the dairy market as it closed with a 4.3% increase in the price index. This increase indicates a strengthening global dairy market, elevated by strong demand in significant regions.

During the auction, which lasted 2 hours and 31 minutes, a total of 41,465 metric tons were sold, out of the 37,909 to 46,290 metric tons available. This session, with its 19 rounds of bidding, saw participation from 154 active bidders, resulting in 113 winning participants, showcasing intense competition.

The average winning price reached USD 4,043 per metric ton, reflecting stronger buyer interest despite stable supply. The auction's results are being interpreted as a positive sign for exporters and a signal of future price growth potential for producers, underscoring GDT's role as a critical reference point in the formation of global dairy prices.
