Despite the decline in volume, the market shows growth in monetary terms — ranging from 6.7% to 24.6% depending on the category. The main factor is the increase in dairy product prices. According to Rosstat, butter prices rose by 34% and milk by 22% in the first seven months of 2025.

The most significant drop in demand was recorded in the butter and margarine categories (-11.2%), as well as UHT milk (-11.1%).

The company "Logika Moloka" (formerly H&N and Danone; brands "Aktibio", "Prostokvashino") confirms that the trend of declining consumption has been observed since the end of 2024 and is directly related to inflationary pressure on consumers.

"The decrease in demand is primarily due to rising prices and changing consumer behavior. However, we do not expect a further significant decline — the market will stabilize," the company reported.

Some categories, on the contrary, are showing growth. Sales of granular cottage cheese increased by 11.2%, and thick yogurts by 6.6%. Analysts attribute this to the growing popularity of high-protein products and consumers' focus on "healthy eating".
