Yogurt Production in Russia Increases by 0.4% from January to August 2025

Yogurt production in Russia rose by 0.4% from January to August 2025 compared to the same period last year, reaching 536.9 thousand tonnes. Meanwhile, the production of fermented dairy products overall (excluding cottage cheese) fell by 1.6%, to 1.87 million tonnes.
Yogurt consumption in the country increased by 2% from January to July 2025, reaching 496.2 thousand tonnes. Analysts note that the growth in consumption is linked to the expanding variety of products and increased consumer interest in functional and healthy products.
Yogurt stocks in the warehouses of dairy processing enterprises at the beginning of September amounted to 8 thousand tonnes, which is 3% higher than the same period in 2024.
