As of the end of January–July 2025, milk production in Russia increased by 2.1% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 15.9 million tons.

The most significant growth was achieved by agricultural organizations, where milk production increased by 3.9% (+470 thousand tons), reaching 12.4 million tons. The total milk production across all types of farms amounted to 20.2 million tons, which is 0.3% higher than last year's level.

Among the leading regions in terms of volume increase are:

  • Tatarstan Republic — +71 thousand tons,

  • Udmurt Republic — +42 thousand tons,

  • Penza Region — +40 thousand tons,

  • Kirov Region — +30 thousand tons.

At the same time, a decrease in production was recorded in the Kursk Region (–10 thousand tons), Tyumen (–4 thousand tons), Novosibirsk (–3 thousand tons), Rostov (–3 thousand tons), Kabardino-Balkaria (–6 thousand tons), and several other regions.

According to Alexey Voronin, Director of the Analytical Department at Soyuzmoloko, favorable weather conditions played a significant role in this growth, contributing to increased productivity in the organized sector.
