World raw milk production is projected to be 956 million tons in 2023

In 2023, milk production is projected to increase by 2.1% to 956 million tons. Laurent Damien, executive director of the analytical agency CNIEL, told The DairyNews correspondent about this during the World Dairy Summit, held in Chicago from October 15 to 19.

Production is expected to increase in Belarus (+6%), Turkey (+3.6%), Russia (+3.5%), New Zealand (+2.6%), USA (+0.5%), EU ( +0.7%).
Production declines are also forecast in Japan (-4.3%), Chile (-4.7%), Australia (-1.7%) and Argentina (-0.3%).
