Production of drinking milk in Russia increased by 0.9% to 3.57 million tons, consumption by 3%

Consumption of drinking milk from January to June 2025 grew by 3%, amounting to 3.16 million tons. Meanwhile, the stocks at dairy processing enterprises' warehouses increased by 19% at the beginning of August, reaching 56.4 thousand tons.

In contrast to the segment of drinking milk, the production of drinking cream showed a negative trend: output from January to July decreased by 8.5%, to 189.8 thousand tons. Consumption also fell by 5.8%, to 168.7 thousand tons, while warehouse stocks rose by 22% to 7.9 thousand tons.

Overall, the market for whole milk products in Russia recorded a production decline of 0.3% from January to July 2025, totaling 7.09 million tons. At the same time, consumption from January to June increased by 2%, reaching 6.28 million tons.
