In 2022, global per capita consumption was 13kg on a dry matter basis, Ms Jackson said.

The most significant growth will be shown by India and Pakistan, where consumption will increase to 25 and 52 kg per person, respectively. It should be taken into account that these countries account for the main consumption of fresh dairy products.

The main consumers of highly processed milk products are the United States and the countries of the European Union.
