Golden Hooves Launches Regeneratively Farmed Salted Butter in the UK
Golden Hooves, known for its regenerative dairy products, has expanded its range by launching its first salted butter in the United Kingdom. This new product, crafted from regeneratively farmed milk, aligns with the brand's mission to offer sustainable dairy options. The butter is now available through major retailers such as Waitrose, Booths, and Ocado, as well as various independent stores across the UK.
The development of Golden Hooves Salted Butter was part of the Big Food Redesign Challenge, an initiative by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and the Sustainable Food Trust. This challenge guided participating brands through the stages of design, production, and retail to create products that enhance, rather than harm, the environment.
A representative from Golden Hooves highlighted the butter's premium quality and environmental benefits, stating, "This launch represents what Golden Hooves stands for, delicious, everyday dairy that’s good for people and the planet." The butter has already received attention from various industry award schemes, showcasing its rich, creamy texture and luxurious mouthfeel.
The Big Food Redesign Challenge provided Golden Hooves with a framework to demonstrate the scalability of regenerative agriculture while maintaining taste and value. The company expressed that this initiative proves that quality and environmental conscience can coexist.
Golden Hooves Salted Butter is sold in 200g retail packs, joining the brand's existing lineup of cheeses available in 200g pre-packs and 2.5kg deli blocks, as well as crackers in 80g packs.
