Chilean Dairy Exports Surge by 24% Until July
Chilean dairy exports have experienced remarkable growth in the first half of 2025. Between January and July, the equivalent of 272 million liters of milk was exported, reflecting a 24% increase compared to previous years. This marks the highest level of exports in the last five years. The growth is primarily driven by higher exports of powdered milk, cheeses, and infant formula preparations. Cheese exports are led by gouda at 21.5%, followed by cream cheese and mozzarella.

Despite the impressive numbers, the sector remains optimistic about further growth by the year-end. The whole milk powder sector recorded a significant annual growth of 127%, reaching 12,334 tons, the largest volume in five years. The main markets for this product include Brazil (41%), Colombia (23.2%), Mexico (13.6%), and Cuba (10.5%). Meanwhile, infant formula exports saw a 28.9% increase, with key markets including Guatemala, the United States, Nicaragua, and Honduras. Moreover, condensed milk exports rose by 28.4%, totaling 21,380 tons, making the United States and Peru its largest markets. These results showcase the dynamism and diversification of Chile's dairy sector, underscoring its strategic role in international markets.
