Yili Launches AI-Generated Comic Series to Illustrate Dairy Supply Chain

At the fourth China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) in Beijing, Yili, a prominent Chinese dairy company, introduced the country's first AI-generated comic series aimed at enhancing the transparency of the dairy supply chain. The series, titled "The Full Chain Alliance: Enora's Super Adventure," was developed in collaboration with the China Agricultural Film and Television Center. It uses generative AI to provide a visual representation of Yili's supply chain, which spans from raw materials to final products.

Jen Kelyn, New Zealand's Deputy Secretary for China Relations at the Ministry for Primary Industries, alongside Yili Group Vice Presidents Zhang Yipeng and Yang Chaoqun, attended the premiere. Kelyn acknowledged the innovative use of AI to animate the dairy value chain, highlighting how it makes the production process vivid and understandable to the public for the first time.

The series is divided into three chapters: Empowering Farms, Making Manufacturing Smarter, and Expanding Global Reach. It transforms technical data into a compelling narrative to make the previously unseen aspects of the supply chain more relatable. Yang Chaoqun emphasized that the use of generative AI tells the human story behind the operations of partners in the dairy ecosystem, reflecting Yili's commitment to shared growth.

Yili plays a crucial role in the dairy value chain by implementing stringent standards that elevate industry practices. The company supports farms with funding, technology, and risk-sharing initiatives to improve raw milk quality to surpass EU standards. Yili operates 77 automated production facilities worldwide, including a liquid milk processing hub capable of handling 6,500 tons of fresh milk daily. Its products are distributed in over 80 countries and regions.

Global partnerships are a cornerstone of Yili's strategy, with over 2,000 partners in 39 countries across six continents. Notably, the company's collaboration with AGRANA has led to the development of fruit-preservation technology now used in more than 20 AGRANA plants globally. Additionally, Yili supports forage cultivation on over a million acres in China.

Pan Gang, Yili Chairman, stated, "Vision creates the future, cooperation builds strength, and mutual benefit defines success." He reiterated Yili's dedication to working with partners across the value chain to foster a sustainable and innovative future for the dairy industry.
