Yili’s Tech Innovation Center Gains Recognition at IDF World Dairy Summit
The National Center of Technology Innovation for Dairy (NCTID), led by Yili Group, made a prominent entrance at the 2025 IDF World Dairy Summit in Santiago, Chile. This debut highlighted China's growing influence in the global dairy industry, particularly in the realms of advanced dairy science and sustainability. Liu Chunxi, Chairman of NCTID, emphasized the center's commitment to sustainable industry evolution during the summit.
NCTID was recognized at the IDF Dairy Innovation Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars” for the dairy sector. The center's “For a Bluer Ocean” Limited-Edition Eco-Packaging, part of the AMBPOMIAL brand, won an award for Innovation in Packaging and Transparency, showcasing the use of alkali-washable ink technology to improve recycling purity and recovery rates.
Additionally, Yili’s Xinhuo Bone Energy Formula Milk Powder earned the Innovation in Dairy Products for Human Nutrition award. This product incorporates a nutrition strategy combining high-quality protein, colostrum basic protein (CBP), vitamins, and ingredients like sodium hyaluronate and Eucommia leaf powder, aimed at supporting healthy aging.
Dr. Ignatius Szeto, Executive Director at NCTID, delivered a keynote on the benefits of dairy consumption for healthy aging, citing the role of dairy products in improving nutritional adequacy and reducing age-related health issues.
NCTID also showcased a digital traceability system for microbial risk management and research on fermented dairy’s role in mitigating liver stress due to alcohol. The center aims to further industry-academia-research collaborations to commercialize these innovations globally.
