Gross Raw Milk Production in Russia Grows by 3.9% to 19.6 Million Tons Over 11 Months
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, domestic agricultural organizations are showing steady positive dynamics in all key livestock segments. By the end of the period from January to November 2025, there was an increase in the production of meat, eggs, and milk.
The total production of livestock and poultry for slaughter (in live weight) in the agricultural sector amounted to 12.6 million tons, which is 1.2% higher than the figures for the same period last year.
The poultry sector demonstrates the most significant dynamics. The production of poultry for slaughter increased by 2.7%, reaching 6.2 million tons. Simultaneously, the egg production sector showed a growth of 6.5% — 36.9 billion units were produced during the reporting period.
The dairy cattle sector also maintains an upward trend. Gross production of raw milk increased by 3.9% over 11 months, amounting to 19.6 million tons. It is worth noting the qualitative improvement in production indicators: the productivity of the dairy herd (milk yield per cow) increased by 4.2%, indicating advancements in management technologies and feed base.
The Ministry of Agriculture emphasizes that systematic state support remains a key factor in the stable development of the industry. Among the most effective tools are:
• preferential credit mechanisms;
• implementation of targeted federal programs;
• targeted regional subsidies.
