Over 74,000 Cattle Artificially Inseminated in Kyrgyzstan Over Ten Months
According to the ministry, more than 98,000 doses of semen have already been distributed to the regions of the republic, and over 7 tons of liquid nitrogen, necessary for the storage and transportation of the semen, have been delivered through district veterinary offices.
The total procurement of semen in 2025 is 270,000 doses, indicating an expansion of the national program for genetic improvement of livestock.
"We see a positive trend in the interest of farmers and households in artificial insemination. It is one of the key tools for increasing livestock productivity and improving herd quality," the Ministry of Agriculture's press service notes.
To ensure the program's effectiveness, cooperation agreements have been signed between 264 inseminator technicians and district veterinary offices. According to the department, this system of interaction allows for promptly reaching remote farms and controlling the quality of procedures.
