In addition, the region plans to strengthen control over the movement of animals between municipal districts.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic, the measures are aimed at preventing the introduction of infectious disease pathogens into Tatarstan and enhancing the biological security of farms.

As previously reported, there have been outbreaks of pasteurellosis in cattle in several districts of the Novosibirsk region. The veterinary services of the region have taken comprehensive measures to localize the disease outbreaks.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, the epizootic situation in the Novosibirsk region has now stabilized.

At the headquarters meeting, Lenar Garipov urged heads of agricultural enterprises and owners of private farms to strictly adhere to veterinary and sanitary rules for keeping animals.

Specifically, farms are recommended to:

  • switch to a closed mode of animal husbandry;

  • strengthen biological protection measures on farms;

  • ensure disinfection of transport;

  • organize the operation of sanitary checkpoints.

"It is necessary to develop a set of measures to prevent the entry of disease pathogens into the territory of Tatarstan," noted Lenar Garipov.
