Russian Producers Have Warned of a Suspension of Butter Supplies

Major butter manufacturers, including the brands "Prostokvashino," "Selo Zelenoye," and "Krestyanskoye Butter," have started notifying retail chains about the suspension of production and reduction of product deliveries. The main reasons cited are the shortage of milk raw materials and increasing costs.
According to the Association of Retail Companies, there is currently no shortage of butter on store shelves; however, many producers have already announced price increases. For instance, H&N and "Wimm-Bill-Dann" raised prices by 2% and 3.4%, respectively, while "Milkom" and the "Almetyevsky Dairy Plant" reported increases of 16% and 20%.
Companies such as "Milkom," "Irbit Dairy Plant," "Agrosila," and others indicated that current demand for quality butter significantly exceeds supply, which is also affecting the market situation.
