Raid Uncovers Adulterated Ghee Manufacturing Operation in Hyderabad
In a recent operation conducted by the Commissioner’s Task Force and Masab Tank police, adulterated dairy products valued at ₹18.26 lakh were confiscated in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The raid took place on Wednesday at a facility operating under the name 'Pride Dairy,' owned by 26-year-old Mohammed Junaid Hussain. The unit was found to be manufacturing ghee mixed with palm oil, vanaspati, and other low-quality substances, which were then being sold as pure ghee.
During the raid, officers seized 460 kg of adulterated ghee, 70 kg of mixed ghee, 2,090 kg of adulterated cow cream, and 1,170 kg of adulterated buffalo cream. Additionally, 28 tins of Ruchi Gold vanaspati, used oil packets, and empty tins were confiscated. Equipment seized included two boilers, a pushing machine, a packing machine, two weighing machines, four gas cylinders, 70 basins, 25 empty drums, and packing covers.
The accused, who reportedly held a valid license, was found to be illegally adulterating dairy products. A case has been registered, and further investigations are ongoing to uncover more details about the operation and its distribution network.
