Ice Cream Imports in Uzbekistan Increase by 44% in Six Months

In the first half of 2025, the Republic of Uzbekistan recorded a significant increase in ice cream imports. According to the national statistics committee, the total volume of imported products amounted to 1,824 tons, which is 440 tons more than the same period last year. The growth in physical terms was 1.3 times.

In monetary terms, from January to June of the current year, $9.4 million was spent on the purchase of ice cream and related frozen products from 13 countries worldwide.
The main foreign partner of Uzbekistan in the ice cream segment remains the Russian Federation. During the reporting period, 828 tons of products were supplied from Russia, accounting for 45.4% of the total imports.
Kazakhstan took second place, providing a supply of 648 tons of ice cream. The People's Republic of China ranks third with a volume of 187 tons.
This trend continues the trajectory set in 2024. By the end of last year, Uzbekistan was already the second largest importer of Russian ice cream, purchasing it for $5.2 million, which is 12% more than the previous year. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan held the lead in 2024 with purchases amounting to $19.8 million.
