IMA Hassia Helps Wardat Launch Single-Serve Cheese Packs

Wardat Al Mashreq Food Co. has expanded its processed-cheese range with individually sealed stick packs. The Saudi Arabian producer installed an S600 vertical form, fill and seal machine from IMA Hassia at its facility, allowing it to produce portioned packs for liquid and pasty foods.

The new format is designed around single-use consumption. Each pack provides a controlled portion and a sealed unit, with the packaging supporting hygiene, product quality and use outside the home. The format also gives Wardat another presentation for its processed-cheese products and a route to distinguish them in the market.

The S600 is built to form, fill and seal stick packs and sachets. IMA Hassia also supplies aseptic packaging equipment for liquid-to-pasty products with extended shelf-life applications. For Wardat’s launch, the machine’s ability to process viscous food reliably is central to maintaining consistent filling and secure seals across the individual packs.

High-speed operation provides the production throughput required for commercial-scale output. IMA Hassia’s involvement included more than the supply of the equipment: as part of IMA Dairy & Food, it provided engineering and dairy-sector expertise for installation, commissioning and line optimisation. The division employs more than 550 people across several European sites and offers forming, filling and sealing systems for dairy applications.

Wardat has already committed to additional equipment. “We already ordered a second stick pack machine,” said chairman Salem Almazroo. Delivery is scheduled for early 2027. The order follows the initial launch and will add another stick-pack machine to Wardat’s processing operations.

IMA Hassia describes its S600 as suitable for a range of liquid and pasty products, while Wardat is applying the system to processed cheese. The collaboration has therefore combined a new portioned format with equipment intended for high-speed filling and sealing. Wardat’s initial installation and planned second purchase establish stick packs as part of its processed-cheese packaging activities.
