Guanajuato Invests Over 8 Million Pesos in Dairy Industry
The government of Guanajuato has invested over eight million pesos in support for dairy producers in the state, which currently ranks as the fifth largest milk-producing state in Mexico.

Marisol Suárez Correa, the secretary of agriculture, highlighted the operational support and the successful organization of EXPOLAC, a national gathering of ranchers and dairy producers, focused on sharing advanced production techniques and new tools.

The initiative includes the hiring of 10 'agents of change' to benefit 320 dairy production units, along with the acquisition of milking machines, mills, and trailers. Additionally, 145 livestock production units received genetic improvement support and equipment such as milking machines and ensilers, amounting to a total of eight million 310 thousand 732 pesos.

The regionalization of species and productivity impact measurements were also implemented to support the livestock industry. Dairy production represents 6.76% of the national output, solidifying Guanajuato's position as a top producer.
