GNT, a leading provider of EXBERRY colors derived from non-GMO fruit, vegetables, and plants, has announced a remarkable 22% reduction in carbon intensity at its EXBERRY factories since 2020, as detailed in the company's latest sustainability report.

With a commitment to optimizing its environmental and social impacts, GNT has outlined 17 ambitious targets aimed at driving sustainability efforts throughout the current decade.
In 2023, GNT's total carbon footprint across its production sites in the Netherlands, Germany, and the USA amounted to nearly 13 thousand metric tons of CO2-equivalent emissions. This achievement marks a substantial 22% decrease in CO2 emissions per ton of product sold compared to the base year of 2020, positioning GNT close to halfway toward its goal of achieving a 50% reduction by 2030.
The sustainability report also highlights significant progress in various other areas. GNT is actively working to enhance water efficiency at its factories by 20%, achieving a commendable 13% improvement compared to 2020 levels. Moreover, 74% of the farmers within GNT's supply chain have attained a minimum of Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) Silver standard, demonstrating progress in sustainable agriculture practices. Additionally, compliance with GNT's Policy on Sustainable Sourcing has risen from 70% to an impressive 90%.
