Dubravushka-Agro opens dairy complex for 1,000 cows in Belarus
Two housing units have been built for the animals, each designed for 500 cows. The complex also includes a milking and milk-handling unit. Under the business plan, average annual milk yield is expected to reach at least 6,750 kg per cow in 2027.
Ventilation, climate control and feed push-up are automated at the complex. A modern feed table was purchased for feeding the animals.
The farm said that the manager receives information about equipment operation on a mobile phone. An app allows the temperature and indoor climate at the complex to be adjusted and sends notifications in the event of malfunctions. An electric boiler has been installed for heating.
The new facility employs 25 people. Staff facilities include rooms for washing and drying clothes, changing rooms and showers, as well as a separate dining room.
Dmitry Gorodetsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, noted that livestock farming accounts for up to 70% of agricultural enterprises' revenue, with dairy production contributing a substantial share. He said that building such complexes raises farms' technological standards, improves working conditions and helps increase animal productivity and operational efficiency. He also highlighted the attention the head of state pays to this area.
