DN Agrar Group Expands Milk Processing Capacity in Romania
DN Agrar Group, a key player in Romania's agrifood sector and the largest dairy milk producer in Europe, has announced plans to increase its processing capacity. The company aims to develop a facility dedicated to the production of skimmed milk and cream, aligning with its 2025 - 2030 strategic growth objectives. This project is part of their initiative to optimize the value chain and increase annual milk production to 150 million litres, with potential expansion to 200 million litres.
The investment for this facility is set at EUR 3.5 million and will be financed through a credit facility from Exim Banca Românească. The approval of this financing plan is contingent upon the upcoming General Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled for January 16, 2026.
Earlier in 2025, DN Agrar Group invested RON 42 million (EUR 8 million) in its Straja and Lacto Agrar farms. The company is also preparing for a significant transition from the AeRO market to the main market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, which is expected to occur between late 2026 and early 2027.
With a current market capitalization of RON 440 million (EUR 88 million), the company is controlled by the Dutch group AM Advies, owned by the de Boer family. DN Agrar's financial performance has been robust, with a 25% increase in turnover to RON 158 million (EUR 30 million) and a doubling of net profit to RON 43 million (EUR 8 million) in the first nine months of 2025.
These results were supported by a herd expansion to 17,000 cattle, resulting in a higher milk output of 52 million liters in the same period, marking an 11% increase year-over-year.
