The £70 million investment, one of the largest single investments by a Northern Ireland agri-food company, is expected to be completed by February 2025. The project includes upgrades and improvements to site-wide services and utilities, the installation of a high-speed automated cheese slicing line, a larger warehouse space, and investments in new patented products and processes.
Located outside Cookstown, the site currently supports over 1,100 local families, employing 345 people and receiving milk supplies from 760 local farmers. The expansion will create 30 new roles, including operative, technical, and engineering positions, further boosting the facility's workforce.
