WPP agency Clarion has been awarded the B2B brief for Danone, working across its diverse portfolio that includes dairy and plant-based products, waters, and nutrition brands such as Evian, Volvic, Activia, Actimel, Alpro, and Cow & Gate. This significant win was secured without a competitive pitch, attributed to Clarion's successful B2B PR and marketing work for notable brands like Diageo, Unilever, Jacobs Douwe Egberts, and Soreen.

Clarion’s mandate involves enhancing Danone’s visibility in trade media, increasing brand awareness among retailers and decision-makers across grocery, impulse, and foodservice sectors through thought leadership, brand support, and retailer engagement campaigns.

Louise Robinson, Customer Category Director for Danone UK & Ireland, emphasized Clarion's expertise, stating, “Clarion has a proven track record in delivering results. They are passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about the FMCG industry. Their specialist trade communications knowledge, journalist relationships, and capabilities are second to none. We had great chemistry from the start, and we're really pleased to have them on board.”

Rebecca Wainwright, Clarion’s managing partner leading the B2B division, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “Danone is a dream business for us. They have so much to offer with a powerful mission, and it’ll be our job to elevate their trade communications to drive engagement from a trade perspective.”

Danone UK & Ireland will continue its collaboration with Ketchum for consumer and corporate communications for its dairy, plant-based, and baby-feeding brands, while Freuds holds a global retainer for the Evian and Volvic brands.
