The production growth will be achieved through a large-scale increase in yield per unit area and increased involvement of farmers in grain production. The document also notes the expected increase in soybean harvest to 21.17 million tons, which is an increase of 2.5% year-on-year.
Analysts emphasize that along with the expansion of domestic production in the country, consumption growth is slowing down, which will lead to a reduction in the volume of imports of key types of agricultural products.
In the long term, over the next ten years, China, according to the forecast, will reach a qualitatively new level in the field of agriculture. In particular, a significant increase in the overall production potential, the sustainability of the industry and the ability to overcome internal and external challenges is expected.
The report emphasizes that national agricultural priorities will focus on food security, sustainable development and technological modernization of agricultural production.
