According to the Dairy Association of China, the nation's milk self-sufficiency rate is projected to remain above 70%, with each cow expected to yield over 10 tonnes of milk annually.
These targets were unveiled at the 16th Dairy Conference in Xiamen, Fujian Province. The quality inspection pass rate for dairy products is set to stay above 99%, and production processes are to become more environmentally friendly. The association emphasized the need for an advanced forage production and supply system alongside a high-efficiency dairy cattle breeding system. Moreover, there will be a push to make dairy product processing more digital-savvy.
