Over 75% of Cheese and Curd Imports to Kyrgyzstan Provided by Belarus

As of January–November 2025, Kyrgyzstan significantly increased its import of cheese and curd. According to the National Statistical Committee, the volume of foreign supplies amounted to about 10.1 thousand tons, totaling $16.7 million.
Over 75% of Cheese and Curd Imports to Kyrgyzstan Provided by Belarus

This exceeds the figures for the same period in 2024 by 3.5 times in physical terms and 1.5 times in value terms.

Belarus became the key supplier of these products, accounting for 7.7 thousand tons, or more than 75% of total imports. The volume of Belarusian cheese and curd imports increased 5.6 times compared to the previous year, indicating enhanced price and logistical competitiveness of products from this country.

Russia ranked second among suppliers, with imports totaling 1.6 thousand tons during the reporting period, which is 65% more than a year earlier. Imports from Kazakhstan reached about 0.3 thousand tons, an increase of 26%.

In addition to the main directions, cheese and curd were also imported from Iran, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Bulgaria, Italy, and Turkey, but their share in the total supply volume remains insignificant.
