Belarus and Serbia are reinforcing their economic partnership in the agro-industrial sector, with plans to boost Belarusian meat and dairy exports to Serbia.

MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Serbia are strengthening their economic ties, particularly in the agro-industrial sector, after talks between Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Vladimir Grakun and Serbian officials in Belgrade.
The session, part of the Belarusian-Serbian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, focused on increasing Belarusian meat and dairy exports to Serbia and expanding the list of accredited Belarusian enterprises for food supply. The collaboration is based on a 15-year memorandum of understanding enabling exchange of experiences, technologies, and joint agricultural initiatives. In early 2025, trade between the countries grew by 8.4% year on year.
Belarus exports dairy products, fruits, and potatoes, while Serbia supplies seed corn and oil crops. Serbia remains a significant partner for Belarus, facilitated by a free trade agreement and visa-free regime. Serbian officials praised Belarusian product quality, expressing readiness to enhance imports, especially in dairy and vegetables, as Belarusian products earn consumer trust through quality and affordability. Further plans include Belarusian participation in trade exhibitions in Serbia to boost brand recognition and establish new business connections.
