Argentina Develops Donkey Milk Project for Children with Allergies
A new project in Villa María, Argentina, spearheaded by a researcher from Córdoba, is focusing on the production and scientific exploration of donkey milk. This initiative was inspired by the use of donkey milk in Europe and seeks to provide a hypoallergenic alternative for children with food allergies.
Donkey milk is considered beneficial due to its low allergenicity compared to cow's milk, making it suitable for children who cannot consume other dairy products. The project not only aims to serve families in need of such alternatives but also to bolster Argentina's agroindustrial sector by introducing this niche product to the market.
The research and production efforts are part of a broader strategy to explore innovative agricultural products that can enhance the country's economic prospects. By focusing on a product that is both scientifically and commercially promising, the project has the potential to open up new avenues for the dairy industry in Argentina.
