Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, during a meeting with Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, highlighted the increase in butter stockpiles and urged the government to strengthen control over production and sales.
Alexander Lukashenko Demands Solution to Butter Stockpile Issue

According to the presidential press service, butter stockpiles have increased by Br2.5 billion. The Prime Minister acknowledged the issue, specifying that currently about 30,000 tons of the product are in stock, but noted that "stockpiles are already beginning to decrease."

Alexander Lukashenko expressed dissatisfaction with the situation: "Let's hope we break even by the end of the year. As long as the production of butter matches sales, stockpiles remain unchanged."

However, the head of state emphasized that global markets are ready to purchase Belarusian butter.

"I spoke with high-ranking Chinese officials during my visit to China. They said: 'We will buy everything you can offer.' I asked: 'At what price?' – 'At world prices,'" Lukashenko noted.

The President criticized the overproduction and proposed balancing production with demand: "This is not right – people are starving worldwide, and we can't sell everything. If the butter isn't being bought, then we should produce less."

Additionally, during the discussion, the issue of pork production was also addressed. Turchin reported that active filling of livestock spaces began in September, and an increase in pork production by 136% is expected in the Minsk region within a month. The President instructed to keep this process under strict control: "So far, I do not see any results from the activities of Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Shuleiko, who oversees agriculture. This is his responsibility – controlling production and especially sales and exports."
