UK Dairy Processor First Milk Maintains Milk Price for March
In a recent announcement, UK-based dairy processor First Milk has confirmed that its milk price will stay the same for March. The company has maintained its price at 45.35p per litre for a manufacturing standard litre, inclusive of the member premium.
First Milk, which is owned by approximately 700 farming families, noted that there has been some 'softening' in various dairy markets. Despite these market signals, the company remains confident in its ability to sustain a stable milk price.
Mike Smith, the vice-chairman of First Milk, stated: "With our business performing in line with expectations, we are pleased to be able to provide continued stability in our milk price. As always, we continue to work hard to maximise returns for our members."
