Putin Places AptarGroup’s Russian Factory Under Temporary Management

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree covering Aptar Vladimir, which owns a plant producing plastic packaging in Russia. The company is wholly owned by Aptar Europe Holding, a French entity controlled by US-headquartered AptarGroup.

The decree appoints H&N to oversee the asset. H&N is the legal entity behind Logika Moloka, the name now used by Danone’s Russian division after it was taken over by the Russian state in 2023.

Danone Russia was renamed H&N two months after the nationalisation. Yakub Zakriev, the nephew of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and Chechnya’s agriculture minister, was appointed chief executive of the business.

The decision concerning Aptar follows a separate measure signed by Putin on September 17. That measure put the Russian assets of Auchan, Nestlé, Lemana PRO—formerly Leroy Merlin—and French logistics company FM Logistic under the temporary control of L.E.V. Management.

The Kremlin said the companies covered by that measure came from countries it considers unfriendly and that are “now actively involved in military action against our country”.
