Dairy Management Inc. Initiates Search for New CEO Amid Leadership Transition

Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) has formally launched its search for a new president and chief executive officer, prompted by the anticipated retirement of current CEO Barbara O'Brien later this year. The organization, which plays a crucial role in managing the national dairy checkoff program, has employed ZRG Partners, a prominent global talent advisory firm, to guide this comprehensive search process.

Marilyn Hershey, a Pennsylvania dairy farmer and chair of the DMI Board of Directors, stated that the search is undertaken from a position of strength. The board is seeking a leader capable of uniting the U.S. dairy community, accelerating innovation, and driving growth in both domestic and global markets. The new CEO will oversee the national dairy checkoff and its associated organizations, including the National Dairy Council, U.S. Dairy Export Council, and Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy.

Barbara O'Brien will maintain her position as CEO until the completion of her term, ensuring a smooth transition and continued execution of DMI's strategic priorities. DMI is encouraging qualified candidates and industry leaders to apply for the role through Melissa Oszustowicz, Managing Director at ZRG.

DMI, funded by over 23,000 dairy farmers and importers, is dedicated to boosting dairy sales and fostering consumer trust through research, education, and marketing initiatives. The organization also collaborates with state and regional checkoff teams across the United States.
