Almarai, the world's largest vertically integrated dairy company and a major player in the Middle East's food and beverage industry, has signed collaboration agreements with the Food Industries Polytechnic, the Transport General Authority, and the Saudi Logistics Academy.
These agreements aim to promote job localization within the food and beverages sector through comprehensive training and rehabilitation programs leading to employment opportunities.
The memorandum of cooperation was formalized during the first international conference on the labor market, organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development at the King Abdulaziz Convention Center in Riyadh on December 13 – 14, 2023.
Fahad Aldrees, Chief Human Resources Officer of Almarai, highlighted that these agreements align with the company's corporate social responsibility program to advance localization in the food industry sector. Localization is a key focus within Almarai's comprehensive strategic plans, given its status as one of the largest employers in the Kingdom, boasting over 9,000 Saudi employees, including more than 900 Saudi female employees.
Aldrees emphasized that the training and qualification initiatives outlined in the agreements contribute to Almarai's broader commitment to nurturing national talent. In 2022 alone, the company delivered around half a million hours of employee training, achieving an impressive retention rate of 90%.
Almarai's dedication to developing human resources has garnered recognition, earning it a place among LinkedIn's top 15 Saudi companies for professional career development in 2022.
