Milky Mist’s first-quarter net profit rose by more than 1,000% to ₹64.5 crore, while revenue increased 45%. The company recorded stronger sales in yogurt and ice cream, alongside higher operating margins.

Uruguay’s dairy industry will meet in Nueva Helvecia on October 1st and 2nd for the 11th International Dairy Industry Congress. The programme will cover processing, industrial automation, international trade and changing patterns of dairy consumption.

The price paid to Argentine milk producers trailed the value generated by the dairy industry by 21.4 points during the period analysed. Higher processing, energy, labour and logistics costs absorbed part of the improvement in factory-gate values, while weak domestic purchasing power constrained price increases.
