Vladimir Putin Advises to Try Stefan Dürr's Cheese

On October 16, Vladimir Putin spoke at the Business Russia congress and recommended to its participants to try cheese from the EkoNiva group of companies. Its founder and president, Stefan Dürr, was present at the event. The president said that colleagues should "buy some of Stefan's cheese" and noted its quality.

Putin mentioned that he had already tried the products from Dürr's enterprise in the Voronezh Region. The entrepreneur confirmed that he had sent his own cheese to the head of state. According to Dürr, products from the new plant in the Novosibirsk Region will be as good as the former, if not better.

During his speech, the president also discussed the indicators of the Russian agro-industrial complex. According to him, in ten years, the country has increased food exports 2.5 times and is now among the twenty largest food suppliers in the world.

Putin attributed these results to the work of agricultural producers. He stated that Russian farmers operate efficiently, and the industry's efficiency increases year by year. As an example, the president mentioned the efforts of Dürr and other producers.

The EkoNiva group of companies was established by Stefan Dürr in 1994. The company is one of the largest raw milk producers in Russia and develops its capacities for dairy product manufacturing.

In August 2026, EkoNiva launched a dairy processing plant in the Maslyaninsky District of the Novosibirsk Region. The enterprise is intended for the production of hard and semi-hard cheeses, butter, and dry whey. The project aims to reach full capacity by 2027.
