Recent data reveals contrasting trends in the dairy export markets of Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. In Argentina, the average export price of dairy products decreased by 1.80% to USD 3,596.06 per ton, with a significant reduction in export volume, which fell by 30.19% to 13,789.89 tons. The Chilean market faced similar challenges, with the average export price dropping by 5.72% to USD 2,897.93 per ton. Export volume declined by 33.57% to 2,418 tons. However, Chile managed to increase its number of export destinations from 11 to 13, a growth of 18.18%, indicating geographical diversification despite reduced export activity.

Uruguay, on the other hand, showed a positive trajectory. The average price rose by 2.62% to USD 3,596.29 per ton. Export volumes increased by 20.41% to 10,822.46 tons, and the number of destinations expanded from 24 to 26, marking an 8.33% rise.

Examining specific products, Argentina saw the most significant price decrease in whey permeate, which fell by 15.70%. However, there were price increases in hard cheese, whole milk powder, and WPC 35% (whey protein concentrate).

Chile's most notable increase was in the price of skimmed milk powder, which rose by 21.75%. In Uruguay, the most significant progress was observed in hard cheese, followed by semi-hard cheese, highlighting the robust performance of its export portfolio.

These variations in the dairy export sector illustrate the differing dynamics within the Southern Cone region. While Argentina and Chile faced declines, Uruguay's performance was marked by growth across all monitored indicators.
