Uzbekistan Increases Ice Cream Exports to 630 Tons by 2025

However, exports remain highly concentrated: more than 90% of shipments go to just two countries — Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, reports the chairman of the board of directors of the "Shin-Line" company Dmitry Dokin.

The potential for further export development is linked not only to neighboring markets but also to the Uzbek diaspora. More than 6 million ethnic Uzbeks live outside Uzbekistan. The main diasporas are located in Russia and neighboring Central Asian countries — Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan.

In 2025, Uzbek ice cream factories began small test shipments to Lithuania, China, and South Korea. These deliveries have not yet significantly influenced overall exports but demonstrate the producers' interest in new directions.

An additional factor in market development could be the growth of chain retail. By the end of 2025, the hypermarket Korzinka became the absolute leader in Uzbekistan's chain grocery retail. According to the Soliq service, the network registered 47.8 million receipts — more than all other networks combined. Havas is in second place with 24.1 million receipts.

However, the share of chain retail in Uzbekistan remains limited. Even in Tashkent, it is estimated at a maximum of 16.4% according to Soliq. Independent experts estimate that modern trade occupies about 27% in Tashkent and 6–8% on average across the country.
