Upstate Niagara Cooperative Rebrands as UNC Dairy

The Upstate Niagara Cooperative, a significant player in dairy production with a 230-farm base, is set to update its trade name to UNC Dairy. Despite the name change, the consumer-facing brands such as Upstate Farms and Bison dip will remain unchanged. The rebranding is seen as a symbolic shift, marking a milestone in the cooperative's focus on dairy, as mentioned by CEO Kevin Ellis in Dairy Foods magazine.
This rebranding coincides with an expansion of the cooperative's facilities in West Seneca, New York, aimed to address the surging demand for Greek yogurt and cottage cheese. The cooperative operates several facilities across regions including Batavia, Buffalo, Rochester, West Seneca, Syracuse, North Lawrence, and Williamsport, Pennsylvania, maintaining its dedication to providing high-quality dairy products while nurturing its farmer-owner partnerships.
Ellis commented, "Our visual identity is more than just a fresh look; these new brand elements better represent our deep-rooted commitment to producing high-quality, innovative dairy products while remaining a dedicated partner to our more than 230 farmer-owners.”
